The Medicine Cabinet, the Bathroom, and Your Smartphone
What do they have in common?
This is, to me at least, a funny story I heard at a conference one time from a member of a major pharmacy chain. They noticed that patients were keen to refill their medications while in the restroom with their app. While not unheard of, many individuals like to pull their smartphone out to use while in the bathroom, probably to while away the time. However, many of these patients also store their medications in the bathroom as well. So inevitably, they end up refilling their meds via the app while in the restroom. Perhaps we should take that into consideration for patients with poor adherence and having difficulty refilling their medications. How's that for convenience?
